Whilst many Indian restaurants have opened and closed their doors over the years, The Gandhi has survived on their excellent local reputation for serving excellent food with a varied and interesting choice of dishes. The restaurant has a great atmosphere and seems to be buzzing weekends, so you will probably need to book. The restaurant has a 5 star food safety rating from the local council. “We went to visit last minute for my birthday with my partner, stepson and a friend. As we entered the restaurant the smells that greeted us were very inviting. We decided to order a few dishes and share on this occasion. My friend and I decided on a chicken dish that we wanted but couldn’t decide on a lamb. We decided to ask for some advice and the person that did, was more than happy to help. We let him choose for us. The food came out and looked incredible …. It tasted even better::)) Every mouthful was a pleasure. I would definitely recommend the Gandhi, and actually know a few friends that travel up from London to come here. If u haven’t already tried it, you must!!! Can’t wait to go again.”
